As Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Mike Collins flew on Apollo 11 to a lunar landing in July 1969, the world heard communications between the crew and Mission Control live as they happened. But Earth did not hear the private conversations between Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins, although they were recorded aboard the Command Module Columbia and Lunar Module Eagle.

2012, activité du soleil, apocalypse et calendrier maya

Le prochain maximum solaire (celui du cycle 24) pourrait survenir en 2012 et, avec ce pic d'activité, il est possible qu'on essuie quelques tempêtes (ou «orages») magnétiques. Un documentaire récent - intitulé «2012: Science or Superstition?» - suggère que cette activité solaire accrue apporterait un appui scientifique aux «transformations» et autres «prophéties» annoncées pour la fin du cycle long du calendrier maya qui, selon l'interprétation la plus répandue (en particulier dans les doctrines New Age ;-) ), surviendrait le 21 décembre 2012. Le Soleil sera-t-il réellement en colère en 2012? Et si c'était le cas, est-il raisonnable d'établir un lien entre l'activité solaire et le calendrier des Mayas?

Des chercheurs annoncent qu'ils ont découvert la plus petite exoplanète connue à ce jour: moins de deux fois la taille de notre bonne vieille Terre. Mieux encore, cette planète extrasolaire serait au moins partiellement rocheuse. Voici Corot-Exo-7b.
